Manager, Marketing Operations

Job Description:
As DataGravity moves from stealth mode to launch, join the company at the ground floor and help establish the foundation that will support the exciting ride ahead. This is a “player-coach” role that will establish and lead marketing operations at DataGravity, combining the ability to roll up your sleeves and perform core marketing operations tasks, while setting and managing the strategy for this critical function.

As the manager of marketing operations, you will define, establish, manage and scale the engine that underpins marketing at DataGravity. You will create scalable processes that ensure best practices in lead generation and database management. The manager of marketing operations ensures our marketing department makes smart decisions based on data, not assumptions, and that our decisions are properly tested. You will define and create the complex data analysis used to inform marketing and corporate leadership.

The manager of marketing operations will also drive the strategic and technical aspects of the DataGravity web sites. The role is expected to bring an eye for design along with practical, modern web development knowledge and abilities. You will work closely with internal and external web developers and graphic designers, product marketers, and other internal stakeholders to bring to life our brand, our product, and our vision.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the strategy and technical aspects of key marketing systems (marketing automation, CRM, data services, etc.) used to generate, distribute and report on leads.
  • Establish and maintain scalable processes that ensure best practices in campaign and lead management.
  • Create and maintain metrics reports on marketing and sales activities, the effectiveness of various marketing channels and campaigns, and the overall business impact.
  • Monitor and maintain data quality within the marketing database.
  • Evaluate new technologies and add-on applications to improve and optimize marketing team performance.
  • Define and guide our web strategy, and manage the technical implementation, continually improving the efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of quality for the DataGravity web properties.
  • Collaborate with marketing teammates, senior management, external contractors and suppliers, and other key stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS with 3-5 years of marketing operations or related experience
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with reporting and data analysis
  • Proficient in marketing and sales automation systems (e.g. Eloqua, Salesforce.com, etc.) and integrating these systems with other technologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical web development background / knowledge.
  • Technical capable, excellent communicator, and a desire to constantly improve processes.
  • A natural curiosity and skepticism, helping lead you to experiments and tests in the name of improvement.
  • A passion for learning the latest marketing and web technologies and assessing their potential relevance and impact

Sr. Competitive Analyst (MBA Intern – Summer 2014)

Job Description:

Position ideally suited for an entrepreneurial individual looking for full time role within product management, product marketing, marketing, or engineering management in a high technology business-to-business products company after completion of MBA studies.

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with product management, product marketing, field sales team and executive leadership to develop in-depth analysis of competitive landscape.
  • Properly leverage both internal and external sources of competitive intelligence data to develop deep market and technology sector knowledge.
  • Identify and act to fill gaps in organizational knowledge.
  • Use competitor and industry analysis in development of key competitive tools, including core positioning and messaging, product collateral, pricing, competitive selling strategies, sales and partner training and go-to-market initiatives.

System Management Engineer

Job Description:

The consumerization of IT has pushed the envelope on what IT Managers and End Users expect from the manageability of the system. This doesn’t just impact the UI team, it adds significant challenges how system management information is stored, accessed and visualized. As part of the DataGravity System Management Team you will be able to start with a clean slate and help design and implement a new generation of System Management tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in defining the data-model, and system management infrastructure
  • Be responsible for a large portion of the system, from the design phase through to deployment at the customer site.
  • Ability to work independently and also work collaboratively to guide other engineers. Be willing to take on any engineering tasks that support progress towards the goals of the team and the company.
  • Participate in technical, verbal and written communication with customers.
  • Work cross functionally with other parts of company including product marketing, customer support, and sales.

Requirements:

  • Experience in developing enterprise software products, a passion for quality and well-structured software engineering practices.
  • Experience in designing and implementing large and complex software modules, preferred in one of the following areas, application, database, storage, virtual machine or network management infrastructure.
  • Database expertise in both traditional SQL and NoSQL based systems
  • Expertise in designing highly available and scalable management data-stores
  • Ability to work independently in a startup environment and take on a variety of roles as needed
  • Strong C/C++ and multi-threaded programming
  • Excellent working knowledge of data structures and algorithms
  • Manage multiple priorities and tasks in a dynamic work environment

GUI QA Test Engineer

Job Description:

The primary focus for this position will be the examination, validation, and testing of enterprise software products. You will be working directly with the developers in a small agile group and will be responsible for understanding and testing all layers of the system: front-end, middle tier, and database.

Responsibilities:

  • Manual test case development
  • Front and back end testing, including API testing
  • Troubleshooting integration issues
  • Test environment configuration/management
  • Test automation (Java scripting a plus)

Requirements:

  • Thorough understanding of the software QA engineering process
  • 1-3 years of software development and/or testing experience, with at least 1 year experience with web-based applications and database applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Hands on usage of testing frameworks
  • Experience with automated environment deployment and configuration
  • Ability to anticipate, identify and articulate problem areas and develop preventative solutions
  • Work with a high degree of independence on projects with little or no precedence
  • Proven experience in identifying the relationship of bugs to software code
  • Passionate about software quality
  • Detail oriented
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in field

Data Intelligence Software Engineer

Job description: “Turning Data into Information” requires the ability to capture the data, analyze it, organize it, and make it discoverable in real-time. As part of the Data Intelligence Team, you will leverage your experience in data management, mining and integration, content analytics, machine learning, and/or enterprise search to build the core of an entirely new class of products.
